Everyday we are all so busy battling in life with our obstacles and trails and world that I realised we fail to observe few important things in our life!

How many of us do really obey and follow the commandments of God?

How many of us really understand the meaning of the commandments?

1) "I'm the Lord your God and you must not have any other God but me! You must not make any Idol of any kind or any image in heaven or earth or in sea!"

Yes, our Lord is our only God and we do not have any other God! But these days so many young people are going crazy for few fashion stars, actors and so on! Some people literally worship other humans! I know few people who are so crazy about few "stars" that they try to copy their style, looks, manners almost everything! They say yes I pray to only Jesus and again they are crazy for other humans!
How right is that!?!

Too much of anything is bad! Are we in our limits? Let's check ourselves!

2) Do not take Lord's name in vain!

So many of us knowingly and unknowingly take Lord's name in vain! For very silly things we ask our friends or family to promise on God!

Let's not promise on God or on anything he made! Let us just say Yes or no!

(I'm no different I too have done many times and now since I realise it, I will try not to take Lord's name in vain!)


3) Observe sabbath day by keeping it Holy!

Now what is Holy? Holy is something good and pure!

But so many of us plan for movies, discos, pubs and everything unholy on a Sabbath day!

People say how can watching movies be wrong! But anything that diverts your mind from God is unholy and wrong! Isn't it! Watching semi naked women dance is unholy isn't it!

Think about it!

4) Honour your Father and Mother!

Now how many of us these days really obey and respect opinions of our parents!

People want to do and live life they want! Very few care about what parents have to say!

Why should we listen to our parents it's our life after all! It is the opinion of so many young people these days!

Friends pray and listen to your parents! If your opinion differs from them, try and explain with love and patience!

Were they not patient all the while looking after you and bringing you up?

'Love can cover multitude of sins'!

5) You must not murder!

Now murdering doesn't mean just killing someone!
It can also mean that you must not curse anyone not even your enemies!
Not in your thoughts or words!

If someone has insulted you or has hurt you just leave it to God! He will take care!

6) You must not commit Adultery!
Again adultery doesn't mean just sleeping with someone but so many other impure things!
Masturbation, porn movies, lust in your thoughts or any other sexual impurity!

When you face temptation just pray and ask God for strength and divert your mind! Go and sit in the middle of your family!

7) You must not steal!
Stealing not only taking something when the other person is seeing but also cheating someone in business or anything!
Using an innocent for your use!
Using an someone as a prey for your gain!
Beware God is watching everything! He will takecare of you too if you disobey him and bring disgrace to his name!

8) you must not bear false witness!

You must lie about any other person! This doesn't mean only in court but also in our lives!

Many times we hear things from others and spread them not knowing if they are true or false!

If you have heard something bad about anyone don't just spread it unless you have seen or heard it yourself!
Also it is never good to spread or discuss bad things about others!

If a person is bad, pray for them! Don't spread about their bad deeds! Show God's love in you! Be an example to others!

9) you must not covet your neighbour's wife!

Don't desire for your neighbour's wife or husband! You have your own! If you are not happy with your own, discuss with your partner and sought things out or make things better! Nothing is easy but with prayer and God, you can achieve anything !

If you are not married then get a wife/ husband! Don't look at other women with Lust!

10) Don't covet for your neighbour's belongings!

This is so common
Argh! I wish I had servants like them!
I wish I had cars like them
I wish I had jewellery like her
I wish I had body like them
And so on and on

Be happy with what you have! Be stable in your actions, words and thoughts!

God knows your needs! Don't get jealous of others! Be happy for them when they are doing well in life!

Don't see them and cry! When you get such feelings, pray to God so that he may fill you with God's love!

Friends I too have disobeyed God so many times but I now realise and will try too be the way he would want! He is a forgiving God and will surely give us all a chance! Yes, it's not easy but life is never easy! Road to heaven is narrow and there is nothing wrong in trying! After all God is seeing our heart and intentions! Isn't it!

Let us all try and obey him!
