"So peninnah would taunt Hannah and make fun of her because the Lord had kept her from having children!" - 1samuel 1:6

Hannah was taunted and hurted again and again because she was barren! Every year it was the same for her! She waited and waited many years, but, God had not answered her prayers! Maybe God was waiting for something to happen! What was in God's mind we don't know!


My friend you may be in a similar situation today! Maybe you are in deep anguish like how Hannah was back then! you maybe downhearted and crying to Lord to bless you! You maybe tired by the way people speak of you and hurt you!

You may be feeling empty, you maybe ignored by your husband! You maybe tormented by people around you! You maybe deeply hurt year after year just like Hannah!

But dear friend don't give up hope! Hannah too suffered for a child and when she vowed to Lord to dedicate him to the Lord completely, Hannah conceived! She gave birth to a son named Samuel!

Later Hannah kept her promise and God blessed her with three more sons and two more daughters! What a wonderful God!

Now coming to the pain and suffering Hannah went through!

God knows all that you do! God knew how much Hannah suffered! He knew how she was taunted and hurted by Peninnah!

But Peninnah's children were not chosen by God, instead God chose Samuel, who was righteous in the Sight of God! He had gained Lord's favour! Lord had blessed him abundantly and was given highest position! He was Lord's prophet!

Dear friend, don't get disheartened and don't give up!
Don't think you are too old to conceive, didn't Sarah give birth at 90?

Didn't Isaac pray to God for 20 long years without complaining for a child and was he not blessed with twins after 20 years of waiting!

I know may women in my life whom God had delayed but had definately blessed them!
Some of them waited 12 years
Some waited 8 years
Some waited 5 years
And some waited 7 years!
But God did bless them!

Dear friend get encouraged! When Jesus can bless them he will bless you too! Don't cry anymore! Wipe those tears!

You will have an answer to those who hurt you! God will take care!

Keep faith!

Faith can do it! Amen!
