John 6:

70 Jesus answered them, ,71 He spoke of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, for it was he who would betray Him, being one of the twelve.

Grace and Peace to you my Beloved Brethren;

The above scripture text will be the focus of my thoughts which are " Predestined to be Lost ." When you see the word " predestine" it simple means that there has been a predetermine outcome, and in the context of what I will be talking about it simply means that some people are predetermine to be lost. Predestination has always been a topic of discussion for Theologians and believers and non-believers finding it difficult to grasp the concept that, The All Mighty God would predetermine that some people are going to be saved and some people are going to be lost. The scriptures teaches many are called but few are chosen, and also that God have chosen the believers and the believers did not choose God. The Bible teaches that God knew us even before the foundations of the earth and even when we were in our mothers womb, also that Christ died for the ungodly meaning us prior to our birth on this earth. These previous scriptures allows you and I to see predestination in action, meaning that some things were predetermined in regards to humanity prior to us being born or for that matter before the earth was formed God had predetermined the outcomes of our lives.

Specifically, we see that the text speaks of Judas when it declares," none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled". (John 17:12). This scripture reference Judas as the son of perdition and perdition means a state of final spiritual ruin; loss of the soul; damnation. It also indicated this occurred that the Scripture might be fulfilled thus emphasizing that Judas betraying Jesus was written in the scriptures and prophesied before Judas ever existed which demonstrated the predestination of Judas's life.

Even though Judas was called to be one of the twelve disciples which the scriptures eluded to when Jesus said, “Did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?”

There is much more I can say on this topic however; I will leave you with this,"21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’(Matthew 7:21-23).
