God’s Garden’s 210 words / 42 lines

God’s first garden ever so beautiful
A River of water to flourish this garden
From the ground every tree was pleasant
Good food a sight to behold

God’s Eden for Adam, this God created
Adam was to till and keep this garden
For Adam God brought Eve
His helper to be

The center of Eden God planted
A tree called ‘knowledge of good and evil’
Adam and wife were not to touch
But the Tempter came to Adam and Eve

This Tempter prevailed
Adam and wife were overcome
Weak in spirit for fruit of this tree
Eyes now opened they were cast from Eden

Many years later God entered another garden
Disciples with Him in Gethsemane that night
Weak in spirit fast asleep they lay
Leaving God with crying and tears

The Father’s Son with burdened heart
Groaning with sorrow God was alone
In moments tears of blood were shed
Knowing He would die for sin of man

In Gethsemane God offered prayers
“Let this cup not pass for Thy will”
God’s Gethsemane of sorrow
Brought hope for the morrow

Two gardens God gave
Eden for Adam & Eve brought death
In Gethsemane God prepared His Son
Conquering sin when at the cross was done
