Because I am Known

“I will dwell with you and walk among you”
God gives His most blessed assurance
Castaway we’re not, His promise in view

Whatever is true, whatever is honorable
Whatever is lovely, whatever is pure
This from Lord, His rest secure

All days gone by, have never been alone
Cause the power of His presence
Walking daily, His residence shown

Knowing as yet I ought to know
Only part was sought by me
Not understanding that I was known

Today I begin anew
Seeking first, the fruit of His love
Believing fervently, His grace from above

Why I’m here today, testimony of His faith
Making my aim, to know as I am known
He abides, His presence shown

When anyone loves God, this one is known
His Spirit poured out, as from the dove
Resting ever, in the One whom I am known
