Prophecy

I am writing this on the first weekend of the showing of "Left Behind" in theaters. For the many people who are going to this movie, or who have already seen it, you must seriously consider the question of whether it will actually happen. It is not a good idea to just brush it aside as fiction because it is prophesied in the Bible along with many other prophecies which have already been fulfilled, and are being fulfilled right at the present time. Therefore, there is not good reason to think that this one will not be. Even though the word "rapture" is not mentioned in the Bible, the concept of being "caught up to meet the Lord in the air" is. If you do not want to believe it, are not ready, and get left behind, here is what you can expect. If it has happened and you are still here, you had better read this.

This is all taught in Revelation and other sections of the Bible. It is all part of what the Bible refers to as the Tribulation Period. Evil, immorality, and turning from God will become so bad that God will bring judgment upon the earth. Part of it will be a consequence of humanity's rejection of God. This time will also be a reflection and expression of man's sinful nature at its worst. No one can know when it will happen. Many Christians, though not all, believe that this supernatural calling out of the world of all true believers will happen before these events occur as a way of sparing them from the consequences directed at those who have chosen to reject God and the judgment to befall humanity. Call upon Jesus now for your salvation so you will not get left behind to experience these horrible events.

1. Prepare yourself and your family for the worst, for you will see severe judgment upon this planet and individuals who refused to acknowledge God while they had a chance.

2. The anti-Christ will seize control of the world and you will be forced to give your allegiance to him or pay severe consequences. The anti-Christ will be Satan in the flesh. (II Thessalonians 2:3-4, and 8; Revelation13:16-18)

3. You can expect severe plagues to fall upon the earth. Read Revelation 16.

4. Beheadings will become a part of life. (Revelation 20:4) You know, if you listen to the news, that beheadings have already begun.

5. Being religious won't help, but you will still have a chance to accept Jesus into your life because there will be 144,000 Jewish missionaries spreading the gospel around the world, that is, if you survive the judgments. (Revelation 7:4-8)

6. One-third of the human race will be annihilated. (Revelation 9:15)

7. Nuclear war is also prophesied in the Bible. (Zechariah 14:12; II Peter 3:10, 12) The Zechariah passage gives a perfect description of the the effects of nuclear war, and we all know the world has nuclear capability.

8. There will be a one-world government.

9. You will have to make a no-win choice between accepting the mark of the beast, 666, in your right hand or forehead, or not being able to buy or sell. (Revelation 13:16-18) Though the actual mark of the beast has not yet come about, chip implantation, if that is what it will be, which many people believe, is already being done. Whatever form the "mark" takes is not the point.

10. You may be forced to go "underground" to avoid being detected. Whatever happens DO NOT TAKE the mark. If you do you will be identifying with Satan and allowing him to control your life.

That's it just for starters. Some of this is already beginning to happen. Any questions? This does not paint a pretty picture, but as I have shown, it is all in the Bible.
