I sit and wonder why
a child, too young to die
only here for a little while
he can light up your life, with a precious smile
to spend life in a building, not a home
does he ever feel alone?
lifted up high, his soul will be there
when the day comes he can smell the fresh air
no pain, no suffering, not any longer
knowing this spirit has made me stronger
I can fuss and cry and feel sad for him
though his candles too bright to ever grow dim
he's touched so many lives, with such small hands
thats what makes this little boy a man
a fallen angel, Ive heard before
to appreciate life, he is the door
gifts, cards, balloons he see's
from this bed where he watches t.v
food from a tube, no longer can he talk
not far from now with GOD he'll walk
a lesson learned from this sweet little guy
no more will I wonder why
