Matthew 27:45-46 45 Now from the sixth hour until the ninth hour there was darkness over all the land. 46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” Greetings my Brothers and Sisters in the Lord, Have you ever been in a space, mindset or actually felt as if the Lord has abandon, deserted or gave up on you entirely? Have you ever felt that you are in a dry place, a place where your prayers are not getting answered, miracles absence from your life and divine guidance missing? If so, I have the right audience, if not keep on living because we all will experience a desert place on this journey called life. The above text captures the event where Jesus the son of God experienced a time during his earthly journey where he felt that God the Father had abandon Him. This was during the time that Christ was on the cross, and most often you will feel forsaken when you are being crucified, crucifixion can come from family, friends and love ones. Crucifixion can come from your job, your manager or supervisor, and if you are a manager like I was, crucifixion can come from your employees. The time of crucifixion can be a lonely time and just as Jesus experienced, the only companionship that he had was two thieves. Isn't it amazing that when you being talked about, lied on, spit on and stab, the only people you can find for comfort is a bunch of thieves. Consequently, that is when the unbelievers start questioning your faith in God as they did with Jesus," 43 He trusted in God; let Him deliver Him now if He will have Him; for He said, ‘I am the Son of God.’”(Mathew 27:43). The unbelievers will start mocking you in regards to your faith and your past testimonies which you declared," God will make a way out of No Way", "God may not come when we want Him, but He is always on time", " No weapon formed against me shall prosper" and " I never seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging bread". You are aware of our christian decrees and declarations but when the crucifixion time come, what will you be saying? Will you be saying," My God, My God why have thou forsaken me?" My Brothers and my sisters recognize that your darkest hour is just before day, and weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning. No matter what you are going through, you have the victory in Jesus! Even Christ got up on the third day with All power in hands! Yes power over his enemies, power over death and power over the grave, power to make you walk right and, power to make you talk right, ALL power! ALL power! God has not brought you this far to leave you now...you are not forsaken, your are forgiven! You are not forsaken but you are favored! You are not forsaken, but you are set free! Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart and lean not to your own understanding, in ALL your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your path. You are not forsaken but you are forgiven! Brother Ed,
