Often it is seen that when the guilty is caught, all are satisfied, and what follows is punishment, all are content that there will be no more trouble and many would now be in peace, however what about the one who is caught? would his punishment change him? does our social responsibility towards crime just finish at the point of condemnation and punishment? can we do something beyond killing the sinner, can we change him to be a saint?
Christ came to this world for that very purpose.
" For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." John 3:17 (NKJV)
If God had to pass judgement upon men, for He knew that all were sinners, there was no need for Him to come down into this world in the form of Jesus.
However God in His blessed mercy thought of us and desired to save us, He planned to express His love for us, so that having understood Him and His blessed grace, we may forsake evil and seek Him, we may realise this blessed truth, that God loves us and does not desire that anyone of us should perish.
God has not changed even today, He still desires that the deadliest of sinners may become the humblest of saints and thus for this blessed task, He uses His like minded people who share His burden and reach out to them who are lost with the knowledge and experience of the love of God.
Have you ever imagined what calls for a party in heaven? what is the news that will send a wave of jubilee in heaven?
It is not any invention, neither is it any scientific accomplishment, no it is not when we become the richest person on this earth, rather this is what sends out heaven into jubilation...
" In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away!" Luke 15:7 (NKJV)
Heaven is happy for all the good people, however it rejoices abundantly when one bad person becomes good.
Today in this world there are many who need to be transformed, who need to come back to God.O let's pray that the Lord may use us to reach out to them who do not know that there is a loving God Who does not seek their disaster but waits for them to come back.
God Bless,
Abraham
