That's when we are being careful not to offend another; especially if we need so much to be in their good graces.

I thought it was ok.

When we absolutely hated it.

Who cares?...as long as it gets us what we want.

God does!

He does care when we deliberately deceive others for our own selfish gains.

He does care that those He'd called His own are stabbing Him right there in His back...no...heart.

Because the truth is, deception is of the devil and every lie is a son of Satan.

Why then do we lie and trick others so that we can 'make' it?

Why do we have to fake it till we make it? Fake our friendships, relationships e.t.c., all so we could get something that we want.

And then we turn around and say we have Jesus; He lives in us. Really?

Does a kingdom survive by turning on itself? For Jesus is the Truth...John 14:6; the Holy Spirit within us is the Spirit of Truth...John 16:3.

How then do we bear the Spirit of Truth and display a character of the devil?

I thought it was ok.

Isn't the same as I thought it was awful. It isn't the same as that was despicable. It isn't the same as I wouldn't do that.

They're quite different. In every way.

Let your yes be yes and your no, no.

If it's good, it's good; if it isn't, itsn't.

No sugar-coating.

Our words should be edifying to the listeners. It should build up, not pull down or leave stagnant.

I thought it was ok when we know that it wasn't doesn't build up because the hearer was just told it was ok.

If they were told otherwise, they are more likely to seek ways to improve...now, that is building up.
