Poetry
A long time ago, in a land far away,
There was a young girl, as pretty as the day,
With a lovely white dress, she stood on a hill up there,
As the breeze was blowing through her soft red hair,
To her friends she was as lively as a live wire,
And to her family she was like, Wild Fire,
They lived in the country, on a yard that’s like a dream,
Father, mother, sister, brother, a family that worked like a team,
She had everything in the world a young girl could want,
A perfect house, a perfect yard, a perfect lot,
One day her daddy baught her a horse, out of love for sure,
A beautiful stallion, white, and pure,
To her this horse was everything, she would sell to no buyer,
She loved this horse so much, she even named it Wild Fire,
She loved going through the meadow for a walk,
She loved the beautiful scenery, to the animals she would talk,
Then one day she look up with her pretty blue eyes,
And say bright red in the eastern skies,
She new what that meant, she started to run, never to tire,
For she new that red sky meant a Wild Fire,
All they had burned to the ground,
Her lovely white horse was nowere to be found,
She was ready to give up,
Her life was empty, like a broken down old cup,
She had nothing to live for, all she had fell apart,
Then a gentle soul came and told her how Jesus healed the heart,
Jesus took her hand, pulled her out of the muck and mire,
Then Jesus set her heart ablaze, with joy she was like Wild Fire,
The joy of the Lord was overflowing in her life,
She had forgotten all that happened, all the bad strife,
She went to others who were broken apart,
And she told them how Jesus could heal the broken heart,
As she was reading in her Bible the Jesus in her source,
She heard in the distance the faint sound of a horse,
As she looked out the window, her heart leaped up higher,
For she saw in the distance a white horse, her Wild Fire,
My friend, let Jesus come in and lift your life higher,
He will come and make you like a Wild Fire.
