Our fellowship with the father
1 Jn 1:3
That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
Fellowship is a joining together of minds and spirits. We have the mind of Christ and one with him
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Jn 4:24
We are called into fellowship with the father.
Fellowship ...koinonia ...gk. meaning ... partnership ...participation ...intercourse ...communicate ...communion ...contribution ...distribution ...fellowship
If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 1 Jn 1:6-7
Unto what reason were you created by the father? That he might have fellowship with you.
This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise. Isa 43:21
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Rev 4:11
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 1 Pet 2:9
In his image and likeness he created us so that we may function and act or be a creator like him. In other words have fellowship, partner him for the salvation of the world.
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Gen 1:26-27
Have you reviewed the quality of your fellowship with him?
How deep is your participation in fellowship? Or your fellowship through prayer or with the word of God and your fellowship with the saints?
And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Heb 10:24-25
Where art thou? The father calls
Repair your fellowship with the father and get into communion with him.
