What love is we understand?
And know what it will demand;
Knowing that Christ gave His life,
Suffering toils and strife.

That means for husbands and wives,
Willing to give up your lives;
Give your life for each other,
And for a Christian brother.

We must help those believers,
But caution of deceivers;
Satan thinks that he is so wise,
Deceiving you with his lies.

If a person has enough,
Though times may be a bit tough;
But sees another in need,
Then they should go share their seed.

How could he ever have love,
If not sharing from above;
Not helping a believer,
And be a stress reliever.

Show love in thought, word and deed,
Being concerned of their need;
Not just empty words to hear,
But actions that are sincere.

This is how that we will know,
We follow truth that does flow;
And reassured in the presence,
Honoring God in essence.

If our heart would decry,
By making a mournful sigh;
Our God who knows all things,
Will forgive and comfort it brings.
