THE MIND OF MISUNDERSTANDING
As the maxim drew from nature
Each by poetic style and experience
They argue with the corrupted mind
In which the fault lies with mankind.
Underneath these of sabled hearse
Lies the subject of misunderstood verse
Read into it without thought or context
Misleading the mass who become vexed.
Behold behemoth whom I made with thee
He eats grass like an ox
His strength is in his loins
And his force is in the navel of his belly
He stiffens his member as the cedar
The sinews of his stones wrapped together
His bones are like pipes of brass
And his bone are as strong as iron
He is the beginning of the ways of God…
A presence of that which is translated
Of elevated thought; a sense of sublime
Of something far more deeply interfused
As countless logics of our mind’s thoughts
In believing what is that wasn’t taught
By Rick McGrath, Ph.D.
