Galatians 3

13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”

Grace and Peace be upon you my dear Brothers and Sisters,

Have you been wondering why you are unable to experience the promises of God on a consistent bases? The Bible declares that the promises are yes and amen. Has it been difficult for you to experience the abundance and the overflow of God blessings. Could it be that you have a curse over your life? You are aware that there are generational curses, religious curses....curses that affect your finances, curses that affect your family and curses that affect your future. Curses originate in disobedience to God's command as in the example in Genesis 3:14-16. In these scriptures you find that God curse the serpent (Satan) in verse 14 and the woman (Eve) in verse 16 and Adam in verse 17, these curses were a result of disobedience. These curses are generational and continues to affect most people today for example: the serpent continues to crawl on his belly and there is still enmity between the woman and the woman's Seed which is a revelation regarding Satan and the Church. The curse of the woman regarding pain at child birth and the husband ruling over the woman is in full affect in this generation as well. Finally, the curse of the ground and man toiling all the days of his life to make a living which affects ones finances, this curse is actively in the earth and affecting many people today. My point is that there are generational curses that are a result of disobedience to God's commands which may be affecting your life. The last type of curse is the Religious curse, there are many other type of curses which I will not have time to examine because time does not permit. The religious curse is " the curse of the law" which is described in Romans 10:2-3," 2 For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. 3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God". The religious curse is a result of one trying to establish their own righteousness and refusing or being ignorant of God's righteousness. Many people in churches today are under a religious curse which results in self efforts to establish their own righteousness instead of accepting the ultimate sacrifice of the unblemished Lamb of God whose name is Jesus Christ. The focus scripture confirms this by declaring that,"13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”. Christ has redeemed us from the religious curse of the law therefore; you have been redeemed from the curse, the curse has been broken over your life, if you believe in Christ and that his blood sacrifice is enough to grant you righteousness. The scripture declares,' 29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.(Galatians 3:29). In conclusion, the promise was made to bless Abraham and his Seed that is why we believers are considered heirs and joint heirs with Christ because we share the promise blessing that was made to Abraham and Christ therefore; no devil in hell can curse what God has blessed...can I get a witness...Balaam declared,“How shall I curse whom God has not cursed? And how shall I denounce whom the Lord has not denounced?(Numbers 23:8). The curse has been broken over your life by Christ....believe it and receive it and then allow the blessings to overtake you!
