Gospel
Linger not among the flesh pots of Egypt and shut your ears to the laughter of Sodom. The pleasures of this world will quickly perish and before long you will be in a grave or scattered abroad in some remote and unknown space no more able to cry for mercy or pardon. Have you enjoyed your worldly cares more than the spiritual favors of God, unmindful that some day you must leave all your wealth and worldly friends behind? Quick, down on your knees in humble petition to the one who can forgive your many sins.
A sure voice from heaven bids thee come to the Savior, the Lord Jesus, the Great I am, who born of a woman, humbled Himself in time to take upon Himself the sins of mankind. For this reason Jesus came to earth "Who gave Himself for our sins that He might deliver us from this present evil world." Galatians 1:4
Is there anything your soul desires more than to have your filthy sin-stained soul washed clean and pure in the blood of the Lamb?
Do you secretly despise the counsel of the Lord and His Holy Word the Bible so that you trust in your own wisdom and knowledge more than God's word the Bible? Then you have most certainly cast the Word of Life far from you and it is doubtful you will ever come to faith in Christ. If this be the case with you then be afraid and tremble for the thought of where you will spend eternity when you die and die you must "for as it it appointed unto man once to die but after this the judgment." Hebrews 9:27
Jesus is the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world. He alone can carry your burden of guilt and care. Examine yourself to see if this world attracts you more than He who made you for Himself. Do you find you can not endure the trial of self-denial then you are surely unworthy of God's love and so you must depart this life with no peace of God but a natural enmity and war against all that God loves.
Men ought always to pray and in your case the remedy for your unrepentant and sick soul is to pray for a new heart and beg as never a beggar begged that God in His mercy might accept you into His Kingdom for surely your days are numbered and your days of sinful pleasure shall some day cease.
Your final hour is quickly approaching when you must hear your Creator's voice whether for good or for bad. You will hear either "Well done thou good and faithful servant" or you will in agony hear the most fearful of sounds "Depart from me you who work iniquity for I never knew you." Matthew 7:21-23
If your heart is still beating and you have a solemn breath then perhaps you can hear these words and have hope and despair not:
"I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation." 2 Corinthians 6:2
