Abortion is Really About Not Wanting to Accept the Consequences of One's Actions

There is all kinds of thinking pro and con regarding the abortion issue. Let me get right down to the nitty-gritty. The real reason women have abortions is because they do not want the baby. I am not talking about government-mandated ones or cases of rape. I am referring to making choices that could result in conception, but then turning right around and choosing to eliminate the consequences. So the bottom line question is, WHY do they not want it? Are they too young to care for it? Do they not want the responsibility? It wasn't planned? The baby has defects? Did some girl allow some boy to use her? All of these questions have no rationale. Quit having sex at such a young age! Don't have a child until you know you want to care for it. Planned or not, you knew the risk involved, even with protection, when you CHOSE to engage in sexual activity. If the baby is born with birth defects, that is still no reason to throw it away. Boys have NO business using girls for their own sexual gratification, but girls do not have to allow themselves to be used, either. Society has a name for those types of boys; they are called "dead beat dads." Notice, I did not call them men. If a girl or woman chooses to do all of the things that could result in conception, then she has an obligation to choose to keep the baby! It is choosing the action but not wanting to accept the consequences. Please do not tell me it is all about the woman's body. The life growing in you is a unique creation with his or her own fingerprints, blood type, and DNA. Plus, if my observations are correct, a woman still looks the same in the long run, after she has a baby. So why do women say they have a right to choose what they do with their body? It seems irrelevant. Here is another question for women. Would you have an abortion if you knew that the baby would grow up to be a person who found a cure for a disease from which someone in your own family is suffering? Some aborted baby, maybe your own, might have been that person. When a baby is aborted, it is not just a physical act, but all of the human potential that goes along with it. With all of the 50,000,000 that have been aborted, there is a good chance that we could have seen a cure for diabetes, or cancer, by now, but WE WILL NEVER KNOW, WILL WE? One last word: adoption is always an option. Many, many couples are looking to adopt. There is no excuse for choosing to abort a child, so why do people keep insisting on doing it? In fact, I know of someone who was born with no arms or legs, yet he travels the world giving motivational talks. If a person like him can do that, it certainly takes all the excuses away doesn't it, especially when you consider the potential of a perfectly normal baby. The truth of the matter is that too many people think of babies like they do trash. If they do not want it or have no use for it, they just throw it away.
