"The Complacency within"
According to the dictionary (I checked), complacency means being relaxed, self-pride feeling of sort...over being of a certain comfort zone...
"But God said to him, "You fool! You will die this very night. Then who will get everything you worked for?" (NLT Luke 12;20)
So it is obviously not a good place to be.....but actually how many times do we remind ourselves about not to be complacent with anything we do...?
Life in general often offers complacent comfort zones to us and we happy to stick with it. And the answer to the above question is that we don't ask it often....works, relationships, friendships, fellowships, and even the practicing of our faiths can became complacent at times...
Does complacency have attributes? Yes certainly does....let me show you a few...
When you believe that you have achieved everything and there is nothing left to prove to yourself.....its called complacency.
Doing the same thing over and over again just because its "ok" and new things to try gives you cold shivers.....its called complacency.
When we don't accept any challenges that get thrown at to us....its called complacency.
Christian Faith is able to make many rooms for many things but does not have place for......complacency. (Ouch!! And I just thought that doing the same thing at my church, or at my bible study group or at fellowship gathering is a good thing.) Yes it can be a good thing when it have our hearts and souls in it....but only than...
Do I recall my Beautiful King of Kings has ever been complacent? Has He ever Said..."Now I am done, let's just be marry and forget the rest"?
In His 3 years Ministry while He was walking the earth, He has thought lot of people, fisherman's, tax collectors, doctors, lepers, blinds, cripples, prostitutes, thief's, murderers, young and old.
Would anybody do that while being complacent?
God Bless you Dear Friend.
Let your heart be filled with His Fire.
