The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. (Genesis 1:2 NKJV)


At times like this
With the tide still rising,
The black horse runs
With its mocker riding,
Highlights problems
That continue to grow,
Trying to stop the life that flows.

Emotions scream
It's another failure,
Pack it all in
Go back to Australia,
But those very thoughts
Trigger somethings wrong,
Time to abide
Get back my song.

The only way 
To get real relief,
Is to stop and ask 
"Where's the unbelief",
Then re-focus
On those wings that sweep,
And the great shepherd
Who cares for His sheep.

For His Spirit hovers 
Best when it's dark,
A blackened path
That needs a fresh spark,
His wings will carry
Through emotional drought,
The Strength of the Eagle
Will bring you out.
