I’ve denied you.
I’ve lied to you,
And myself,
More than I can count.
But I just can’t live without you.
Why did I doubt you?
Now here I am,
Back where I started,
Frail and cold-hearted.
Repenting and praying,
Do I mean what I’m saying?
Surely, I do.
Then why am I back here,
Crying to You?
Praying, please forgive me,
Saying, I’m unworthy.
But You still offer me peace,
And I take it, greedily.
Though I know I’ll still sin,
And repent once again.
For I’m so broken hearted.
When I fall away from grace,
And then I have to face,
This place where I started.
