Devotionals
Often we are very excited to hear the Good news, the message of heaven is really comforting to our soul.
How beautiful upon the mountains
Are the feet of him who brings good news,
Who proclaims peace,
Who brings glad tidings of good things,
Who proclaims salvation,
Who says to Zion,
“Your God reigns!”
Isaiah 52:7 (NKJV)
However how about them who bring the good news to us? are they worthy to be honored? are they worth any respect and gratitude?
God surely blesses them who labor for Him as He is never a debtor to any one, however God also expects us to bless those who bring the good news to us.
However we do find some who pick on the servants of God and always want to crucify them for every move and thus disrespecting and dishonoring God.
Paul here is trying to defend his posotion as a servant of God also listing down his rightful unavailed priviledges.
"Do we have no right to eat and drink? "1 Corinthians 9:4 (NKJV)
We have been called to bless others, to encourage others and build others in faith as Christ did, thus let not any of our action, word or deed discourage or hurt any soul.
"Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing. And we urge you, brethren, to recognize those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. Be at peace among yourselves. Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all. See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all.
1 Thessalonians 5:11-15
God has called us with a blessed calling to be a blessing for others, let's never become a stumbling block for anyone, however let's become stepping stones for others to go higher and God shall lift us up too in His perfect time.
being a blessing for others
Lord I pray, make me this,
a blessing all for others,
none should testify this of me,
this person uncessarily bothers.
Let all find joy with me,
the perfect joy of Christ
let me not bring darkness to them,
rather let me bring Your light.
I know I've been called
to be like You and comfort every soul.
All my days I'll live for You
and being a blessing for others will be my goal.
God Bless,
Abraham
