The Lust Of The Heart
Because man loves the world his heart will never turn properly towards his true maker. Their hearts fail to grow
Hebrews 3:8, Harden not your heart as in the provocation in the day of temptation in the wilderness
There is a waiting place for you
II Peter 3:7, but the Heavens and the Earth which are now by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and the perdition of ungodly men
Romans 8:18, for I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed to us
Have you been stripped down and ready to serve out your time here on earth out of a pure heart for God’s purpose?
Before we can properly serve him in this present time we must die to ourselves now, today and tomorrow. The present means God exist in your life and you are going through a process everyday with God in view or at hand existing in something mentioned or under consideration, constituting the one actually involved doing this time. God is in control of the suffering, the state of experience of one that suffers death, distress, or pain, and realizing this you submit to it or be forced to endure it, to put up with things that is not conducive to the flesh, undergo loss, damage, or misery. How you will grow out of these situations depends on what your expectations are. Expectations is the act or state of expecting, anticipation, expect, hope, look, await some occurrence or outcome, high degree of certainty of something happening, confidence or the assurance in the possibility for what you desire and long for will happen.
How do these things help me to grow? Well they should point you to the one you trust in. If you will trust God with all your heart deliverance from all ails will come. Deliverance means you have been liberated, rescued, freed, given birth to something, reached a certain destination, come through with to produce the promised, desired, or expected results, and you have been set free. This trust brings about a new found hope, a pleasing expectancy, a new desire with anticipation, one of expectation of obtainment, expecting with confidence the fulfillment and trust.
When you grow in the Lord you hope against hope without any basis for expecting fulfillment while hope is the opposite, desire accompanied by expectation of or a belief in the fulfillment of what you are hoping for.
Suffering, expectations, deliverance and hope all involve the Christian in an act or state in their lives. They act in the present and hope while the state a person is in determines their present, their hope, suffering and deliverance. The way they act in the state they are in determines their outcome. What they are anticipating will happen gives them hope in their present state. Their present state makes their heart grow or cause them to faint. What are you going to let happen in your lives? Will it be things that will cause growth in your present time or will it be a heart that never grew?
As in the natural the born again Christian must grow and grow up properly, otherwise they will be reserved for a place they do not want to go.
The heart is the center of operation for human life. The exhaustion of physical strength is called a melting or withering of the heart. The heart also is considered to be the center of soul life. It is the seat of love, hatred, joy, sorrow, wisdom, and of pride. The heart packs a lot in it and when people don’t grow their heart carries baggage. The heart can only pack so much and when it is not emptied out it is smothered and cannot breathe. Every good work in it is stunted and it will fail. The heart for the Word of God must grow in the life of the Christian and as it grows every bad thing is replaced with good whole nutritious Word. Heaven is the dwelling place of God and Christian growth prepares one for heaven.
God is a God of Love, Peace, and Righteousness, but weeds of unrighteousness grow in the heart of the Christian all of the attributes of God is passed out through the bowels. Heaven is a holy place and God search out the hearts before they are allowed to enter into heaven. He understand the imagination of the thoughts man allows to come to their heart, but what he do not understand is why they let vain things enter in knowingly and readily. When a man or woman will ask for God’s help in keeping their heart free of the polluted issues, they break their spirit and are renewed in their hearts.
Earth is the place we live in as distinguished from Heaven. It is the place of man’s habitation and is dry and men should have dominion over it but they have yielded all of their being to live on the earth now without thinking about a promised eternal place at the end of this earthly journey. Because of this their hearts for God never grows.
God placed it in man but they choose to make their hearts merry and forget their Creator. Their hearts is deceitful and desperately wicked. It is also God that will try the reins even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. Only the pure in heart shall see God. He knows when you are thinking evil in your heart, which means you have failed to grow.
In the day when you are provoked into temptation it is because you have failed to grow in your heart and there is no understanding that knowledge can hold on to. The mouth of fools feeds on foolishness, for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth will speak.
When the heart of the Christian fails to grow there is no fear of God, they will not keep his commandments for they don’t reside in that man. If we keep not the commandments should we say we believe them? I think not, for we follow after what we have faith in.
Faith is the opposite of unbelief, we hold fast to unseen goodness. Faith chooses between the sufferings of this world and the pleasures of sin, it reconciles God’s commandment. This is the growth process that will bring one to crowning Jesus rather than themselves. They will begin to fear God, changing their allegiance to right living, believing, confiding, and trusting God. To have God in one’s heart, they must first believe that God sent his son into the world to redeem men and he requires men to accept Jesus as the Christ, they are to submit to him. Faith comes through hearing the Word of God receiving it in their heart. Fear causes one to comply themselves to the Word, the Word is the Gospel and it is to be made known to all nations for the obedience of faith.
We cannot contend for this faith if our hearts do not grow after God. When we grow in faith we acquire a greater reverence for God, which is reverential fear; which helps us to keep his laws and commands. We will not only fear him but our heart will grow to serve him in sincerity and in truth with all our heart. How is this so? Well the fear of the Lord is wisdom and to depart from evil is understanding and God honor them that fear Him. the fear of the Lord also is clean, endures forever, he encamps his angels around you and will deliver you in the time of trouble because you trust in him and hates evil.
Ecclesiastes 12:13 fear God and keep his commandments for this is the whole duty of man. The son of righteousness will heal your hearts. The heart that never grew did not get in fellowship with God. II Corinthians 13:11, be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace, and the God of love and peace shall be with you. Our fellowship truly is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. God is light and in him is no darkness at all. When we do not grow in our heart we will say that we have fellowship with him and walk in darkness, we will lie and do not the truth. But when our heart grows after God we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanse us from all sin. Now we have grown and can fellowship with him, as we do the will of God. We learn to let brotherly love continue, we will confess our faults more, pray for each other, be of one mind, have compassion for each other and evil is done away with.
The heart that never grows, never forgives either. Forgiveness is being merciful and pardoning the wrong done to you. God commands man to forgive even as he forgives. The discretion of a man defers his anger, and it is his glory to Passover a transgression. The heart that grows forgives much, rejoice not when their enemy fails in some point, does not render evil for evil, but bless and not curse.
A heart that never grows will never know that God is there and that they can live a life of love peace, kindness, abundance, mercy and grace. They will never seek the life supplier in the days of their youth. They will not serve him, obey him, or come into his wisdom, knowledge and understanding. They will not prosper, but live their days and years in pleasure. They will never realize that they can be perfect. Matthew 5:48, be ye therefore perfect even as you father is in Heaven perfect. As for God his way is perfect, his Word has been tried and his Word in you will also be tried. For the Lord see not as man does, he looks on the outward appearance but the Lord looks on the heart, Remember God searches the heart, your heart shall live forever.
