WAITING PASSIONATELY
Psalm 37:34 The Message (MSG)
Wait passionately for God, don’t leave the path. He’ll give you your place in the sun
Psalm 37:34 The Living Bible
Don’t be impatient for the Lord to act! Keep traveling steadily along His pathway and in due season He will honor you with every blessing.
We have all had trials and struggles these past days/weeks/months. I am learning (still) that many times it is in the darkness and rainy seasons that I grow closer in my relationship with my wonderful Lord and Savior.
Wait passionately for God. I would never have thought of putting those two words together, have you? Did you realize that the word “wait” is an action verb? And that “passionately” is very descriptive of how to do that?
Don’t leave the path. Stay in God’s Word. Stay focused on Him. So many times when I am “down and out” I focus on anything and everything BUT Him! He is telling us in this sweet verse that when we focus on Him (by not leaving the path) that He will give us our place in the sun. Bring it on Lord! We love the sun don’t we? But often it is through the rainy, stormy seasons of life that we grow.
We may be in a season that we want to desperately get out of. But wait. Wait passionately for God. Be patient. Don’t leave the path. Stay strong and steady. He is here with us and in fact, directing our paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). He will honor that and give us our place in the sun. Sunny days are ahead.
God’s Blessings on each of you today. May you blossom for our Lord!
