Tears

Tears that are in the heart cannot be seen.
No one expects that they are even there.
The outward appearance is so serene.
The inward pain is forbidden to share.

Discipline takes over when pain is near.
Do what you must do, and do it quite well.
There is no time to stop or time to fear.
Continue going for you must not fail.

It seems a new problem faces you each day.
You have not even resolved the last one.
Push on is what you do without delay.
Your pride makes it appear that life is fun.

But your intellect knows the intense pain,
And your crying heart knows why Jesus came.
