When the Lord interrupts your plans,
You know your life is in His hands.

Our plans, no matter what we make,
We must surrender for His sake.

Sometimes we need to take a rest,
Or may it be some kind of test?

A test of waiting on the Lord,
His will and mine in one accord.

Or might we wait for what's in store,
For through His grace there's so much more.

There's more than we can ever see,
Just rest in God and let it be.

O God, have I erred from your way?
Then help me to your will obey.

To use the gift you've given me,
That others might salvation see.

But there are times to take a rest
From what we think we know is best,

So that God can guide us anew,
And help us to His Word be true.

So if we find our plans on hold,
We'll do whatever we are told.

Trusting in His eternal love,
timing, and wisdom from above.

So thank you God for your great plan,
You always lead us by your hand.
