A TRUE FRIEND
Everybody needs a friend, a true friend who will be there for us at all times whether things are good or bad. Unfortunately our worst disappointments in life most times come from people whom we consider very close friends and confidants; this is a proof that even the best of men can fail at any time! The scripture in Micah 7:5-7 says: Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom. For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own house. Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.
Have you been disappointed by people you trusted so much? Have you been let down by people you looked up to for help when you needed them the most? Is your heart bleeding because a friend you so much depended on has let you down? Truth is, there is no one among mortal men that cannot fail or disappoint you, even you yourself have disappointed and failed others times without number! In the midst of so much distrusts and a world full of disappointments, your heart still will not cease to search for real relationship of a friend who will not let you down.
The true friend your heart is searching for cannot be found among men; there is a hole in your heart that only Jesus Christ the son of God can fill. He is the true friend that can never fail or disappoint you no matter the situation you find yourself.
Jesus is the true friend you can trust, He alone accepted to bear the punishment by dying for your sins and bought pardon for you with His blood.
For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Rom 5:7-8;
Jesus is the true friend that can be there for you at all times, He alone can remove your burdens and give you rest of mind.
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matt 11:28;
Jesus is the true friend who alone can restore all that the enemies have stolen in your life, business, career, home and marriage. He can make all things new for you.
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10;
Jesus is the true friend you can rely upon at all times; He wants you to live a good life and also promised to prepare a place for you in His heavenly kingdom when you die.
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. John 14:1-3;
Folks, of all the people you call friends and lovers in this world no one can be there for you at all times, only the true friend can. Jesus Christ the true friend is at the door knocking, how will you treat Him? Will you deny Him and keep Him out of your life with all He has done for you? Or will you accept His love and invite Him into your life? Jesus says ‘Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any men hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me’. Rev 3:20;
Open the door of your heart to Jesus today without delay; confess your sins unto Him; ask for forgiveness and cleansing by His stainless blood. Invite Him into your heart and let Him be the Lord over your life from today. Welcome into God’s family!
Now pray this prayer: Dear Lord and Saviour, I am a sinner, I need your pardon. Forgive and cleanse me with your atoning blood. Be my Lord and Saviour now and forever, I surrender my life to you, write my name in the book of life. Let me live to please you every day. Amen.
I encourage you to join a bible-believing Church in order to learn more about God’s way properly.
