Tailor-made Cross.


"If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and

take up his cross daily, and follow Me..." (Luke 9:23)NKJV.


Long before He was hung on the tree,
Our savior spoke out loud about the Cross.
He knows it's the only way to be free.
Let's follow Him and be rid of our dross.

Wonderfully painful our cross is tailor-made;
Like the unique prints on our blessed fingers;
Yours for mine, vice-versa, we cannot trade,
So it is, alike for 'saints' and 'sinners'.

We are given abundant grace our cross to carry,
But Without His yoke it's pretty burdensome.
Strive to take up yours friend, do not tarry;
You bet, the promised rewards are truly awesome.

Apostle Paul dared to say, "I die daily"!
Now how do you die and yet come alive?
Herein lies purpose and destiny really!
Sweet honey, stinging bee in same hive!

With joyful pain, His own Cross, He carried.
For this purpose came our Lord and Christ.
He came to the place of death sorely unsullied
To destroy the power of death He did arise.

The cross we must carry is tailor-made.
You cannot exchange yours for mine;
Neither for yours, mine will I trade,
Fit for me is the cup that holds my wine.
