SPIRITUAL METAMORPHOSIS


The Mighty Creator forms life in stages.
Times of life correlating with the 'ages';
He is at work with His Spirit and Jesus,
Desiring to bring the best out of us.

There goes an instance the butterfly;
Arrayed in flight most beautifully,
Yet the awesome splendor and glory,
Was not attained in a flurry hurry.

See not far hence the unsavory larva;
Unattractive and obscure times over,
Must endure the transforming process,
Knowing she is but a work in progress.

Though developing into the chrysalis,
It must not rest satisfied that early.
For her to please God in right conduct,
She needs must attain to the end product.

The formed butterfly beckons "come hither."
Oh caterpillar! "you can still go higher."
Though your experience has been gruesome,
Be assured the end will be truly awesome.

People may not notice the process of change,
Except for eyes that see at close range;
They that knew one utterly infamous,
Now give thanks for an end truly glorious.
