Cleanliness is next to godliness, not only does it feel great to sit and dwell in a clean environment, its also a great blessedness to be clean within, not just in your flesh and skin but also in your soul.
Whereas there may be different ways and means to achieve the external cleanliness for us, the cleanliness of the soul can only be done by and through Him Who made it, by God alone.
"For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? " Hebrews 9:13-14 (NKJV)
Yes!!! The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all our sins.
How does it happen probably may be hard to understand (we need to understand God's abundant grace), however how it feels to be forgiven..the answer is great, awesome and above all.
The feeling of being reunited to the greatest joy, the feeling of experiencing joy unspeakable, the experience of receiving more than we had ever expected is what is receiving forgiveness.
Let me take you through a small journey of receiving forgiveness from the man known as 'a man according to God's own heart'..King David
(read through it carefully to see what happens when we do not confess our sins to God and what happens when we do)
Psalm 32:1-11
New King James Version (NKJV)
The Joy of Forgiveness
A Psalm of David. A Contemplation.
1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven,
Whose sin is covered.
2 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity,
And in whose spirit there is no deceit.
3 When I kept silent, my bones grew old
Through my groaning all the day long.
4 For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me;
My vitality was turned into the drought of summer. Selah
5 I acknowledged my sin to You,
And my iniquity I have not hidden.
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
And You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah
6 For this cause everyone who is godly shall pray to You
In a time when You may be found;
Surely in a flood of great waters
They shall not come near him.
7 You are my hiding place;
You shall preserve me from trouble;
You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah
8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will guide you with My eye.
9 Do not be like the horse or like the mule,
Which have no understanding,
Which must be harnessed with bit and bridle,
Else they will not come near you.
10 Many sorrows shall be to the wicked;
But he who trusts in the Lord, mercy shall surround him.
11 Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous;
And shout for joy, all you upright in heart!
I hope you could successfully perceive God's heart through this Psalm, thus I would humbly request you to get right with God, come to Him..say Sorry, receive His forgiveness and the abundant joy He has in store for those whose sins are forgiven.
God Bless,
Abraham
