Men
Why me?
Why me God?
That you would use a man of frailty to show your power
when the earth is filled with people tough as iron.
Why me God?
That I can stand in your presence
while mountains tremble.
Why me God?
That you have given me a dream to call my own.
To stretch out my hands before yours in selfless giving
led by your healing touch.
To weep with tears that melt a heart of bitterness
and embrace the rejected.
To speak with a wisdom that comes only from a renewed mind
that has drowned itself in the thoughts and motivations of God.
And a soul that communes daily in the warmth of His Holy Spirit.
Nothing else matters
Nothing comes close to the promises you have stored for your servant.
A vision, an insight.
A spark.
A flicker.
A flame.
A blaze.
A warrior of light.
Chosen, instructed, trained, guided, empowered.
Mighty God
Your servant awaits.
Lord I do not know where you will take me.
Or how you will use me.
But this I know...
You are faithful and strong.
And Lord...
I desire to be your warrior.
