I'm tired, I'm tired, so tired you see.
Tired of being plain old me.

I'm up and I'm down, it's hard to live.
I'm living a life with nothing to give.

I've tried to be happy, put a smile on my face;
but I'm tired and weary from running this race.

People reach out trying to give me hope;
I just don't care, I've learned how to cope.

These drugs that I take give a temporary high,
little do I know they are only helping me die.

What has to give for me to see?
That living this life is not only hurting me.

What kind of person lives such lies?
Right now I really just want to die!

I'm tired, I'm tired, so tired you see.
Tired of being plain old me.

But now I see! I can love to be plain old me,
because Jesus died to set me free.

Down from Heaven he came, to be born of man.
He came and served but was dealt an unfair hand.

On the cross He was hung, to die for sin.
Once for all, so all could win!

Now that I see His death was for me!
And my voice too mocked Him an that tree.

This life that I live, now has so much to give! Jesus is alive in me! That is cause to live.

No longer to drugs do I turn to cope,
Jesus has given me eternal hope.

Now that I live; now that I see
I love being plain old me!
SAVED and SET FREE!
