Then came, You….

When I stepped out,
I stepped in, fell into sin.
When my heart called out,
I looked without, I looked within.

I tried to find my own solution,
To a problem I could not solve.
No matter my earnest resolution,
It was beyond my sincere resolve.

There I was, a broken man,
Rising, seemingly, just to fall.
Despite doing my best to stand,
It was as if I did nothing at all.

But just as is your surprising grace,
On a day, when I expected nothing new,
Your Good News put a smile on my face.
When I was down and out, then came, You.

Then came, You, with all that I needed—
Grace and mercy to pull me up and through.
One Christmas morn’ my need, you heeded.
When it appeared all hope was gone, then came, YOU.

…and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21

Thank YOU, Jesus. You are the REASON for the Season…
