The Still Small Voice


Loud and deafening but soothing silence,
Bright and blinding but revealing Light,
To many, God’s ways may make no sense;
Yet such is the Way to heaven’s height.

The Lord’s Voice is heard in perfect stillness.
Unapproachable but accessible is the saving Light.
The Veil of Moses proved the Sun of Righteousness.
Apostle Paul was blinded to receive divine sight.

The Holy Spirit trains our ears to hear;
Surely you will hear the Still Small Voice.
The might of God will overthrow your fear;
You’ll rejoice you made the right choice.

Tune your receiver to the heavenly channel;
The Lord may not show up in much fun-fare,
Trumpets, flashers and siren may usher in the king,
But His arrival is a noiseless and dignified affair.
