Have you been through tough times? Do the grey skies sometimes feel endless? I can relate. I'm sure many of us can. Why? because life isn't always a palette of roses and sunshine. Shadows and nights are real. However, it's always important to understand that whether you live a life of faith or if you don't believe in a God who loves you at all --- everyone --- all of us will face storms in life. That's a fact. Storms arrive. It's inevitable. Sooner or later. Sometimes the 'storms' we face may be caused by our own poor choices. Sometimes storms come when we can't get along. Sometimes they come when others hurt or disappoint us or we choose to nurse a grudge. Sometimes life just goes wrong. There's no easy explanation 'why'. Life happens. Some questions remain unanswered.

Whatever the case, for my part, I would much rather go through or face storms with God than without Him. His love and promises are unwavering, and prove true and powerful again and again and again to all who get to know Him and place their trust in Him. This isn't a 'churchy' thing at all. It's about relationship. And in relationship with God, unlike anyone else you will ever meet in this life, God always comes through. Always...

For this God is our God for ever and ever, and He will be our faithful guide unto the end.

Psalm 48:14

Here's another thing. No one can know their 'end' any more than you planned or knew about your beginning. So don't worry about it. Life's a gift. Acknowledge that gift. Don't take it for granted. Only God knows how big a gift your life really is. He is a God of plan and purpose, and only eternity will tell the full story. So take a breath of fresh air today, make lemonade from lemons, and consider the idea of building a genuine partnership with the Giver of Life. Have an open and honest talk. Ask Him to meet you at your point of need, doubt, fear, pride, rebellion, or wherever you're at. Because guess what? God knows where you're at anyway. Thing is, He would just love to get a real conversation going...so, give it a try. And let someone know what happens.
