Matthew 18
New King James Version (NKJV)



18 “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. 19 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”



My Beloved Brothers and Sisters,

If one can chase a thousand and two can chase ten thousand can you imagine what the power of two or three in the Kingdom of God can get accomplishes? This principle is known as the “Power of Agreement”. Certainly, we have already witness what the power of disagreement can do in Washington D.C. The power of disagreement has robed and impaired this nation of its greatness. There has never been a time in America’s history that the country has been so inept and divided that it can not come to an agreement concerning the basic operations of government. The Bible teaches us that God is not the author of confusion therefore; we know the devil is at the center of this controversy. I would like to suggest a biblical solution for a disagreeing nation, and for a disagreeing people. In the above scripture text it reveals the principle of “The Power of Agreement”. Agreement does not have to start with a nation, it can start with two or three people. If there is disagreement occurring in your home, you do not need the whole household to come into an agreement to change the situation and destiny of the family. The Bible teaches that if you have submitted to the Lordship of Jesus Christ as savior and King, he has given you power to bind and lose. What is binding and loosing…? Binding and losing is the authority to prohibit or permit certain life situations and circumstances. The Bible declares that God has given us the keys to the Kingdom which is the authority to prohibit or permit life situations and circumstances backed up by Heavens authority and power referenced in Matthew 18:18. Next, is the central point in this message,” if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.” Jesus states that if any two or more agree concerning “anything” by the way anything in the Greek means “anything”…therefore; if two or more come into an agreement on anything that they are asking our Heavenly Father, He will authorize it to be done. Lastly,” For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” This is a guarantee of God’s presence…where two or three are gathered together in Jesus name…Our Heavenly Father promise to be in the midst. The power of two or three people in agreement in the Kingdom of God will guarantee God’s power, God’s provision and God’s presence.
