2 Corinthians 10

3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds...






To my beloved brothers and sisters,the above text describes the warfare that is going on in the world and instructs the church on how to engage in this war. We are well acquainted with the wars that are taking place in Afghanistan and Iraq and the various other smaller wars taken place around the world but fail to identify the same enemy which is causing havoc in our homes, in our finances, in our relationships,on our jobs, in our neighborhoods, communities and churches. The Apostles Paul instructs us that we are not to fight wars with military might as the world conducts it's wars but with spiritual might...."For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God.." The root cause of all the wars in the world are spiritual therefore; we have to engage in spiritual warfare, using spiritual weaponry and spiritual strategies. Read Ephesians the 6th chapter where it declares,"10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. To defeat the enemy and win the war we must be strong in the Lord and the power of his might because the battle is not ours but it is the Lord's. We must put on the whole armour of God because his armour can not be penetrated...no road side bomb will be able to affect God's armour. Prayer is how we engaged the enemy in warfare having the truth of God's word wrap around our waist and the breastplate of righteousness as our flight jacket, and the gospel of peace on our feet like combat boots. The shield of faith as our bullet proof jacket and the helmet of salvation as our helmet. The word of God is our M16. I encourage you to continue to fight the good fight of faith ...........because we win!
