Things move in a moment,
   with a blinking eye
      and a beating heart.
Lives are changed in an instant;
   grief is exchanged for joy,
      blessedness for sorrow.
New friends are made
   as old friends move on.
Brothers leave
   and sisters arrive.
New love is born
   while old loves die hard.

Find your way to the Steadfast One,
   or be sideswiped by Life.
As all around you changes
gain joy in the Unchanging One
      Whose love ne'er parts.
These are the ones who are ready
   to say good-bye
      as well as hello.
In between those times they remember
to share their love in word and deed.
They wait not for the end,
because things move in a moment.

In this frame of mind the present is precious
as now is the day of salvation.
Those who live in this wisdom
make sure to love here and now.

This is how these sages move in this Life
until the time they are taken in a moment.
