Christian Living
During my high school years, I constantly kept eating, eating and eating. I had breakfast, lunch and a big meal after school. Then I took a nap and had a big meal at supper and a midnight snack before bed. Not to mention, I consumed a lot of sweet stuff.
At the end of my senior year, my weight reached 210 pounds, and I became the heaviest student of the entire school. I did not like myself; I did not like my look. I was determined to make use of the summer vacation to lose weights. I did a lot of exercises and ate a lot less. Within two months, I lost 83 pounds. I felt great and energetic. I knew I had removed all of the ‘extra, unwanted, unneeded, harmful-to-my-body’ fat.
In John 2:14-16 (NIV), Jesus cleared the temple as He said in Matthew 21:13 (NIV), “My house will be called a house of prayer.”
2 Corinthians 6:16 (NIV) says, “What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God.”
We Christians must ask the Lord to purify us daily and worship Him in spirit and in truth.
