For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power (making it active, operative, energizing, and effective); it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and (the immortal) spirit, and of joints and marrow (of the deepest parts of our nature), exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 (Amp)
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Cor.4:18 (NIV)
The unseen is more real than what we see. The Word that God speaks is unseen to the natural eye but it is more real and powerful than the things that we are able to see in our walking around everyday life.
What comes to your mind when you think of power? I think of the power a tornado has as it spins uncontrollably in a circular motion devouring anything in its path, shredding it into pieces. Now think of the word of God having as much power as a tornado but so much more. The force from a tornado has the ability to shred even the most concrete buildings into pieces.
How much more powerful do you think the Word of God is? The Word of God operates in the greatest power beyond human understanding. A tornado becomes more powerful as it spins. As it spins in a circular motion, its power amplifies.
A circle represents unity, and unity is POWER. The Word of God brings unity. It unites our soul with our spirit, and our bone with our marrow. When this unification takes place, its power is as if an electric charge surges right through us, and we find ourselves rising up in power and authority.
The Word of God is our sword of the Spirit. It is our weapon to overcome the enemy - PERIOD! When we speak the Word of God, its power changes our atmosphere and transforms us. It changes the way we think. Our thoughts affect the way we act. Our habits, personality, character traits - our identity is the direct result of our thought patterns. Every thought that we think whether conscious or subconscious causes a reaction.
Also by speaking the Word of God over our lives, we unite with our Heavenly Father, our Creator, Jesus Christ, His Son, and His Precious Holy Spirit, because we come into agreement with His truth. Again, where there is unity, there is POWER!
The Word of God penetrates into the deepest parts of our inner most being, sinking deeply into our subconscious and our conscious – into our roots. The more we speak it, the more we believe it. Our thought patterns begin to change as His word speaks directly to our hearts, into the depths of our being, dividing and slicing away all darkness.
