The challenge to the rich man
to all of us, in this society
greed, consumption
the lust, the idolatry of wealth
Remembering our creator,
the word made flesh,
coming soon into the world
a poor babe in a manger bed
The life he led,
taking him to the cross
all that he had, was himself
just the clothes on his back
Given that we may live
the proof the words he had shared
more than a parable; life
