Return to the Lord and giving up evil ways,
For your sins are downfalls in these days;
Take with you words and turn to the Lord,
Tell Him that you want your life restored;
"Take away our sin and give your grace,
Rendering a cleansing of lips on our face."
Our mouths are so dirty every time open,
With a tongue to match that we sharpen;
It is everywhere to hear no matter what,
The verbal abuse, oh such an onslaught;
In the movies and on TV people swear,
It is so common that we are unaware;
Heavily influenced by sight and sound,
It is just as a fact of life and so abound;
We need to change, so mark my word,
Steer away from all that is so absurd;
The affect when heard by your child,
Pushes them away in becoming defiled;
Confess in prayer to God every night,
All the iniquity through sound and sight.
