The Joy Of The Lord

Today’s a special day to remember
He died for me and now I live
Eternally because of Jesus’ great love

Jesus died that I should live
Once for all He died
Yesterday’s passed, a new day dawns

Only if I could realize what He did and
Faithfully hold on to that PROMISE

That yesterday doesn’t matter any more
How wonderfully alive I am
Especially that my life is His to live

LORD I love You cause You loved me first
Oh what a wonder You Are
Rightly so, forever so and today I declare:
Daddy Your JOY is my Strength

I occasionally review poetry on my other site. You do have all the basics of the faith in this one compact piece. Faith is not complicated. Not many of the original followers were scholars.

There is no rhyme or meter to this that I can see. Imagery is kind of absent. Nowhere did you say what this feels or looks like. On the other hand, it is succinct and basic. You could put it on your refrigerator
