What About Eternity?

You have lived your life in pleasure
Heaping up many treasures to satisfy your self
You have most the world can offer
But without Jesus, your destiny is hell

You fear now what can happen
As there are wars on every side
There are earthquakes and tsunami’s
And you wonder where you can hide

You built a kingdom for yourself
As you have believed satan’s lies
That this is what it means to live
This is truly what is real life

Yet in your heart you fear
And you really don’t know what next, for to reach
You are weighted down with problems
And you would just like to experience peace

What you really seek is available
If to Jesus you would but turn
He is the only one that has your answer
And will give you the truth you need to learn

You may have rejected Him in the past
But just know that God forgives
No matter what you have done
God, through Jesus, has made provision for you to live

It is never too late
If you would just cry out to Him
Ask Him into your heart
So He can wash you of all your sin

Let Him be your Lord
And lead and guide your way
You can have that peace inside
And be delivered from all the fear, that’s in your heart, today

You will have a new hope
No matter what happens on this earth
As you will be led by His Spirit
And will be alive in your new birth

You wonder how or why I say this
Well, I have been where you are now too
I was going to commit suicide
As I couldn’t find life, in the things I did do

Oh there were many temporal pleasures
For a short time did satisfy
But I had to face the fact
That I was just living a lie

I was trusting in my self
And all the worldly things
Thinking that I would be happy
By all the stuff that money could bring

I just found that I was empty
Nothing would satisfy
Everything I worked for and achieved
Still left me empty inside

Until I met Jesus
And my burdens were taken away
I never knew that there was a life
That really satisfied in every way

Life is not in the things that we possess
It can be only found in one place
Jesus Christ is our only answer
We can have peace and a smile upon our face

If time is really short
And eternity is at hand
It is time for you to decide
Do I live for self, or enter into God’s plan?

No person is sent to hell
The choice they alone do make
Eternal Heaven or hell
Which road will you choose, to take?
