Hand In Hand Together

I stood in the garden
Listening to the Pastors voice behind me
I stood staring at the place
Where my Savior bled and died
I felt so small and helpless
I tired to bolster up my strength
I felt so tired and alone
Now knowing which way to turn
But as my faith was failing
I felt the touch of the Jesus Hand
"I know your faith has wavered
That you feel lost and alone
If you take my hand I'll walk with you
And together we will find the way",
Those were the words I heard that day
As I took his nail pierced hand
So strong and yet so tender
Somehow it gave me confidence
When I felt my world was falling apart
As we walked he gave me hope
And enough faith to face another day
Now when my faith is tested
And my strength has weakened
I reach out to hold my Saviors hand
For he is the one I seek
When I feel Him grasp my hand in His
I know that today He and I together
Can handle all my fears and worries
And behind us they will fall.
