I sit here and listen to the sounds of my girls echoing through the house as they are doing various things together, and think, what a sweet sound. The happy chatter with spurts of laughter makes for a very relaxing noise. From one direction comes the happy excited voices of teenagers sharing their day and from another direction the sound of little girls laughing over the comical behavior of the dog.

Sisters that are laughing and sharing together are truly a blessing from God. It's not just the laughter from my girls that make it sweet, but the loving closeness, and the special bond that can only be created by the Lord himself.

With thankfulness, I look at my sisters in the Lord and see the same thing, how we have been joined in that special bond. We have shared in the laughter and merriment of the moments. And have shared times when we have needed encouragement and comfort. A comfort shared through the testimony and joy of how the Lord has carried each of us through the hard places. How He has been our strength when we were weary. Our shelter when we were frightened.

Of how in His faithfulness he has brought a precious peace in the midst of our storms. And how He ultimately has given us a testimony filled with love and restoration. For He is love beyond measure and knows us better than we know ourselves. With that love is unmeasurable mercy and grace,right there, just waiting for us to take a grip, to hang onto and to hold in our heart.

And for those times when we start to lose our grasp of that truth, and the enemy starts to gain a foothold of fear, thank God for the sisters He brings into our lives to help us seize onto that truth.
