Lean on Me when your heart begins to bleed
When you feel you’re going under
Hold on tight onto My Hand
Lean on Me when you have no strength to stand
When you feel it’s the place where I Am all you have
And you will find I Am all you need

When no one cared about Me if I should live or die
When no one bothered asking why I kneel down and pray
And when My burdens felt so heavy
That I could face the day
When God put His Arms around Me
I could hear Him say, “Lean on Me.”

When My life became so heavy there was no hope at all
When there was none to turn to
I had to kneel and pray
And when My burdens felt so heavy
That I could not face the day
And When God put His Arms around Me
I could gently hear Him say, “Lean on Me.”
