Let’s face it. Straight up. Your heart is like hamburger meat. You have been detrimentally wounded and suffered abuse at the hands of others. However, you have also hurt and abused yourself by not loving and accepting yourself just the way God created you as a “fearfully and wonderfully made” beautiful creation.

People have hurt you; however, other people have reached out for your friendship. You turn them away due to your previous relationships and self-abuse. You pull away out of fear, by creating a wall of between you and others.

Tear down those walls of rejection, pain and hatred toward others. Open your heart once again to love others with a reckless abandon. Know that Almighty God, Prince of the Universe holds your delicate heart in his healing, capable hands.

Picture yourself on a bridge. You look down over the edge to the raging, rolling waters below. You are afraid to jump into the loving, strong arms of the Lord who waits in the waters below you. He is waiting with his loving blue eyes of compassion, peace, and grace. He wants to protect you from the rejection and abuse, but you must jump, first.

The bridge holds you in bondage to fear. You must jump with reckless abandon into God’s arms of love. Know God’s love, and His love will set you free. However, you must first jump into his strong arms of love before you can escape the bondage from your fears of rejection and failure.

After procrastinating, you jump. You spread out your arms, and arch your back. You feel a new-found freedom that you had never experienced before. God is waiting and he catches you, and He holds you. He wraps you in His arms of love. You feel free.

Continue to jump repeatedly when you hurt from others with reckless abandon into God’s arms of love. He loves you. He enjoys you. He longs to spend time with you, but you must release yourself to a life of reckless abandon to His love.
