Isa 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

As I reflect back on the current year and the transformations that I witnessed, I remember saying these very words at the end of the year before, 'next year is going to be a big year!". I was right, so many great things have happened, for so many. Lives have changed before my very eyes.

The larger part of the year was spent seeking God more feverishly, more consistently, eventually to actually discover more about myself, who He's made me to be, how to use the abilities He equipped me with, and for what purpose.

While it's all only the tip of the iceberg ... we each have been uniquely equipped for something special, and the more time we spend seeking God, the closer we get to discovering the truth. That we are all a part of something great, something far larger than we can see ... and He chose us all to be involved.

As we reflect on our year, the good, the bad and the indifferent ... in the end, it's all good. Look at how our bad choices are still used to teach those around us, and in the end, enhance our lives. See in those instances where you involved the Lord, how He truly was there, and the results were great!

What you have gone through in your past, what you just experienced this past year was to better prepare you for what’s to come in the New Year … and the years to come past that. We don’t normally see that until way later, but knowing it is often times enough to get us through the trial or circumstance. We are better for have gone through it, and as He continues to prepare us for what’s to come, we will be ready. It’s in His time, His way and we GET to endure it. When we go off the beaten path, when we choose to lean on ourselves rather than trust in Him, we are only prolonging the inevitable and yet He will use these times of poor decision making to teach, to equip or prune. It’s all part of the plan.

Stay focused on Him … and you will see your life change right before your eyes.

So don't sweat the small stuff but embrace it. Don't shy away from your fears but face it, knowing you are backed by the one who can do all things. Let us carry the overflow of positive momentum from 2010 and get a head start, with a new beginning in 2011.

The New Year provides opportunity to lift one another, to serve one another and hold one another accountable to something far better than we can provide for ourselves.

Fuel your spirit; engage in a relationship with your Father, Creator, your God. Seek His ways through His Word and discover His assistance, His forgiveness, His grace, Mercy and His love.
