It Is Written Of Me
Obedience Is The Best Sacrifice
My heart hurts. It hurts for my husband, my friend, and my loved ones that is away from me. Some have gone on and left a scar. My heart is scarred and my womb has been scarred again. Death no matter how it comes bring about a separation of flesh within us. David experienced this with the son conceived by he and Bathsheba in their sin. He cried and got up but he realized the error of his ways. He was a man after God's heart and chosen by God to be a King over Israel. The things that God calls us to sometime is not felt in our minds but in our hearts. When our hearts is after God, no matter what happens in our lives we know how to get back to God. When the Devil attacks us it is not for us to suffer, but the body of Christ. Our actions should be governed by the Holy Ghost. When it is not we suffer the consequences of our disobedience.
What is required of us as Saints? No, I did not say Christians, I said Saints. Why, you might say what is the difference? There is a difference in the two. Saints encompasses or includes the company of the whole body of believers. Christians, the followers of the Lord Jesus Christ got their name at Antioch. The Disciples were the first group of people given the name Christians. Because they followed Jesus they preferred the name Christians so that they would be identified with Him. Everybody pretty much consider themselves to be Christians rather they live and obey God or not. Christians grow and grow and when they learn to obey God they become a member of the body of Saints. Saints concern themselves with more than just being a Christian. They seek immortality; deathlessness and imperishableness. A Saint have immortal longings in them for more of God, going past this mortal life to reach that place that carry us out of the building to that building not made with hands. The desire for things is driven out of the heart and is replaced with servitude to God. How can I take what I have and use it for God. Saints seek for their soul to have life, joy, and everlasting peace.
It is written of me Jesus says when he refers to the Old Testament Scripture that foretold of His coming. He came to fulfill the Law not to destroy it. We are required to continue the work of Jesus Christ.
Psalm 40:6-13, Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire, mine ears has thou opened, burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required. Then said I, Lo, I come in the volume of the book it is written of me. I delight to do thy will, O my God; yea, thy law is within my heart. I have preached righteousness in the great congregation; lo, I have not refrained my lips, O Lord, thou know. I have not his thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation; I have not concealed thy loving kindness and thy truth from the great congregation. Withhold not thy tender mercies from me. O Lord let thy loving kindness and thy truth continually preserve me. For innumerable evils has compassed me about; mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head; therefore my heart fails me. Be pleased, O Lord; to deliver me; O Lord, make haste to help me.
David found out that it is better to obey God than take the sacrifice of man. When we make the decision to follow man rather than do what God has said and purposed for our lives then we have to suffer the sacrifices. Disobedience comes and at first all is calmed, suddenly the works of destruction is magnified against us. But when we obey God, even in the time that destruction comes to destroy our relationship with God and each other, it is peaceful. Saints we are making sacrifices to God that He is not pleased with. A sacrifice is an offering made to God that is acceptable and well pleasing, excellent offering that brings honor to God. How can we make an offering to God when we are in disobedience?
God's salvation is deliverance from destruction, sin. God is the God of salvation and salvation is nigh them that fear him. God wants to be our salvation and rightfully so, it is forever.
Obedience is the act of obeying. We as Saints and Christians have to yield submission to God, His Word, and His Spirit. We have to accept to do the whole work of the God in the Trinity. We have a duty to be in subjection to He whom we say we love; God. Sometime we have to go against what man says and follow God irregardless of what relationship we have with man. God will be first and second to none. Because we are in disobedience today our sin is enumerable although we do not willfully commit fleshly sin. Saints, Christians sins in the Spirit although it is done in the body. We sin and have a total disrespect for God. Who are we? Even God does not recognize some of us. We put fellow brothers and sisters on a hit list and will in our hearts conceive evil against them, God forbid. Our sin is enumerable, we can't even count them. We don't realize we have them because the Spirit of God has died and we still think that God is there; he is not. Repent today, stop devising or contriving words of discord against one another. We use our crafts and skill to tear each other down and with pleasure. We are Devils that name the name of Christ; and God don't like you.
David could bring the people to the work, but he was denied the opportunity to build God a house because of his deeds in the flesh. Is God pleased with the work He has given us to do? Do our speech edify our work and God? We need deliverance, a release from bondage. We need to be set free. It is written of me, Obedience is better than sacrifice. Jesus came in the volume of the book. What sets us free is what is written therein. If a man will be saved at all its by the Word of God. Some of us talks too much and foolishly. A man filled with the Spirit wants to talk the Word, live the Word. We must hear the Word, not a nursery rhyme to save our souls. Being saved means we have accepted what is written therein. Delight to do the Will of God. Plant God's Law in our heart that it may grow, preach and teach righteousness. We have to hide righteousness in our hearts so we may declare God's faithfulness to the world, testifying of the goodness of God. Declare thy salvation to all men. Don't hide, conceal thy loving kindness, but declare the truth while we continue to preserve the Word in our hearts.
Most of all stay away from evil, confess the iniquities that compass us about. We want to set our eyes on the prize, we are a royal priesthood, Holy and we want to be pleased to serve the Lord.
Saints we have an awesome God. It is written, he comes in the volume of the book, the Bible, The Word. He gives us specific instructions that we must follow that we may live a peaceful life in this world. He will take care of our enemies and we can go on in with the Lord. No matter what comes or goes in our lives we can take it and make it with Jesus. Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. God is the first and the last, the beginning and the end and besides Him there is no God. Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end, unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory for ever and ever Amen.
In conclusion of the whole matter it is written of me says the Lord. What are we going to do? Obedience is better than sacrifice. David could find no sacrifice that would save his son's life. What's required of a Saint? Come in the volume of the Book, hear the Word and accept what is written therein. Delight to do the Will of the Lord. Plant God's law in your heart that it may grow. Preach, teach and hide the righteousness of God in your heart. Declare the faithfulness and salvation of God to the world. Don't hide your salvation from the world, let them see God in you, preserve the Word in your heart, keep your eyes on the Lord and be pleased to serve the Lord.
