As in Luke 1:46-55, Mary was in amazement by God's promise to her, that she will give birth to a son and named him Jesus later on, in verse 46-55, she hasn't really seen with her physical eyes to see this thing come to pass, but here she is....praising God with all her heart....
Verse 48 For he took notice of his lowly servant girl, and from now on all generations will call me blessed. (New Living Translation)
Mary called herself as a lowly servant girl, and she believed what God said and she expected herself to be blessed though she can't see baby Jesus at that moment. What a statement this is??
Mary rejoiced in the Lord for what He said, she has not seen it yet, but she believes it will come to pass as God promised. With the greetings of Elizabeth, it gave her great joy as well that she stayed for a while and then headed home.
Even Elizabeth affirmed her that she is blessed in verse 45, "You are blessed because you believed that the Lord would do what he said."
May we also believe the promise of God in our life, for we are blessed when we truly believe Him in faith, by faith and not by sight.
